can have a look at the following, and choose according to your syllabus.

1. Niven,Zukerman and Montgomary

2. Hardy and Wright

3. Apostol

4. Vainogradov

At Graduate level,

1.Vaughn's Multiplicative number theory (Springer)

2. Serre's A Course In Arithmetic (Springer)

3. Rademacher's Notes in Analytic Number Theory (Springer)

4. Kenneth Rosen's A Classical Introduction to Modern Number Theory (Springer)

5. Hermann Weyl's Algebraic Number Theory (Hindustan Publication)

I am not sure whether all of these are available in Indian edition.

But all of them are exceptionally good.

But you should go through basic books like

1. Niven's number theory

2. Apostol's number theory

Also, you should be very familiar with Analysis and Algebra(Group Theory).

Just a minor correction :: That should be Michael Rosen (#4). Ken Rosen is the author of the classical book on Discrete maths (Mc GrawHill).

Any way, thanks for all the suggestions. Now my next adventure will be to locate these books in our bookstores here in India.

Wish me good luck,

partha

Also, if someone is very interested in stuff about distribution of Prime numbers then

A.E. Ingham's Distribution of prime numbers is a must buy.

I think trying to find out the book in bookstores(if you mean a book shop by a book store) will not be a good idea. Rather contact book suppliers. They will take your order, process it and supply to you after procuring from publishers.

Dear Sir,

If you want these books for yourself, then i can email you e-copies of all of these books.

In this case, please give me your e-mail.

Regards
